Accountant (1 Year Contract)

A regionally recognized legal firm is looking for an Accountant to join the team!

Treasury / Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable

• Handle payment requests and manage online banking applications.
  
• Oversee AP and coordinate follow-ups with relevant stakeholders.
  
• Compile treasury reports, AP lists, and report bank balances to the treasury department
  
• Ensure thorough preparation and documentation for fund transfers.
  
• Maintain compliance with firm policies and procedures for all processes.
  
• Manage daily accounting functions, month-end closings, audits, annual returns, and other reporting requirements.
  

Tax Compliance / Audit

• Assist the operations manager in preparing corporate and employer tax filings, with support from the Global Tax team and external tax advisors as needed.
  
• Ensure adherence to statutory compliance requirements.
  
• Support the operations manager in reviewing the general ledger for local reporting.
  
• Assist in preparations for local audits.
  

Others

• Aid in the implementation of internal finance policies as required.
  
• Communicate with internal stakeholders, including partners and other business services functions.
  
• Respond to internal inquiries and requests regarding financial matters and information.
  
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc analyses and reports.
  
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
  

Requirements

• Holds a degree with at least 4years of professional experience in finance.
  
• Works independently with strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
  
• Maintains a positive work attitude with a high sense of responsibility and strong work ethic.
  
• Exhibits strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
  
• Flexible and capable of managing multiple priorities, duties, and both internal and external clients.
  
• Shows resilience, thriving in environments of continuous change and tight deadlines.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
