Job Description

This role will supervise, track and evaluate day-to-day accounting activities and will require Japanese speaking ability to liaise with Japan HQ.

• Process weekly payment
  
• Ensure all items are invoiced and paid on time
  
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
  
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes
  
• Handle general ledger, budgeting, and cash forecasting
  
• Conduct revenue and expenditure variance analysis
  
• Reconcile capital assets
  
• Reconcile account statements, fixed assets, and debt activity
  
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements
  
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principle
  
• Coordinate and complete annual audit
  
• Improve systems and procedures, initiating corrective actions as needed
  
• Enter data into accounting software (software to be advised)
  
• Meet financial accounting objectives
  
• Liaise with the headquarters finance team in Japan (preferably communicate in Japanese)
  
• Liaise with the finance team of the overseas subsidiary
  
• Consolidate monthly accounting reports from the overseas branch and report to the headquarters finance team in Japan
  

Job Requirement

• 5 years' experience preparing full set accounts in the real estate or investment related field is preferred
  
• Minimum diploma in accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent
  
• Experience in bank transactions
  
• Knowledge of Xero Accounting Software will be advantageous
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
  
• Must possess initiative and resourcefulness
  
• Must be able to work independently
