Job Summary:
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions:
Process and record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Verify and reconcile invoices, statements, and financial records.
Prepare and process payroll, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Account Reconciliation:
Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Support the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant accounting standards.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Tax and Regulatory Requirements:
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software and physical files.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of financial information.
Support and Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and resolve any issues that arise.
Provide support and training to junior accounting staff as needed.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional accounting certification (e.G., CPA, ACCA) is a plus.Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
