Position Summary


A new major project is slated to be completed by 2030, aiming to leverage cutting-edge digital technologies and smart systems to enhance operational efficiency and workplace productivity. The Senior Manager, IT, will collaborate with the IT Lead and Smart Systems to drive this transformation.




Role and Responsibilities


The Senior Manager, IT, will work closely with the IT Lead and Smart Systems on:


  • Planning and implementing IT infrastructure for a large-scale project.
  • Reviewing processes and workflows with stakeholders to implement new initiatives for seamless operations and desired outcomes.
  • Understanding specific needs and managing programs to ensure timely project and initiative delivery with domain-specific knowledge and operational oversight.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders from strategic planning and business justifications to IT and smart systems implementation.


Project Planning – IT and Smart Systems


  • Lead the team to work with various users and project teams to ensure IT infrastructure and systems readiness for timely deployment and verification.
  • Lead the team to gather business requirements from stakeholders, including IT initiatives, implementation, and go-live planning.
  • Lead the team to integrate digital and smart technologies with IT systems.
  • Lead the team to secure IT funding approval for projects.
  • Manage IT systems implementation progress to meet project milestones and requirements.


Operations Management


  • Collaborate with project teams to determine project requirements and implementation approach, including technical knowledge, staffing, and cost planning.
  • Manage stakeholders to determine project requirements and obtain project approval.
  • Oversee IT projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Oversee KTLO (Keep The Lights On) operations to ensure SLAs are met.


Workplan Budgeting


  • Manage pre-project assessments and feasibility studies to prioritize projects for the IT workplan.
  • Evaluate and prioritize projects for final implementation in the IT workplan.
  • Ensure synergy in the deployment of projects with IT Governance.
  • Develop, track, and control the IT annual operating and capital budgets to ensure sustainable cost optimization.


Requirement


  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Successful track record in project management, user and vendor management and as a project lead for small to mid-scale projects.
  • Team player with strong organization and people handling skills.
