The National Institute of Education is inviting dynamic individuals to join us as an Assistant Manager, Examinations &
Graduation to assist incourse registration, examination and graduation matters in the Office of Academic Administration and Services.
Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as Secretariat in the organizing committee for the Teachers' Investiture Ceremony (TIC).
  • Procure the supply of graduation gowns for graduands attending the TIC.
  • Prepare the notification of completion of programme and invitation letter to TIC for graduands.
  • Arrange manpower and allocate resources for the smooth distribution of certificates and transcripts during TIC.
  • Liaise with valedictorians and prize winners for all information relating to the TIC.
  • Manage the graduation ceremonies for the leadership programmes. Oversee the event preparation from sourcing of venue and mementos to ordering of refreshments and preparation of the venue.
  • Plan the collection of certificate and transcript in accordance with the format of the ceremonies.
  • Manage the course registration and results processing of the Diploma programmes.
  • Serve as Secretariat for award interview panel.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the Institute's centralized written examination.
  • Collate and process appeal for review of course results for the initial teacher preparation and Sport Science and Management programmes.
  • Generate and issue all e-transcripts and opencerts for the initial teacher preparation, leadership and Sport Science and Management programmes.
  • Prepare statement and verify qualification of alumni for all initial teacher preparation programmes.
  • Maintain the Student Management System modules related to the job responsibilities.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.


Requirements:

  • A University degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an education institution.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and executing successful graduation ceremonies.
  • Experience in the operations of academic programmes, particularly in the areas of award selection interviews and certificate and transcript management would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in minutes-taking and report-writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong command of English.
  • Meticulous, strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pick up on situation cues and adjusts in the moment.
  • Ability to work independently and as a good team player.
  • IT savy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and produce quality results on time with attention to details.
  • Ability to work well with students, alumni and academic staff.
