Key Job Purpose
As a member of the grant admin/ management team the role is on grant management in providing support and integrated administrative and management requirements of funding awards secured through NEWRI's cohort of faculty PIs/collaborators. This includes budgeting, expense review and budget reporting as well as developing and implementing compliance programs and working closely with different processing departments researchers and PIs including external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting grant funding management, ensure effective controls are developed and maintained to assure the integrity of the university and funding agency.
- Work collaboratively with grant management team and NEWRI HRBP to improve current manpower hiring and budgeting process.
- Supporting grant management team in financial management and budgeting methods, policies, procedures, systems, and practices to assess the financial capability of the respective project.
- Support grant management team in assessing, evaluating, managing and monitoring funding for compliance with NTU, NEWRI and funding agency regulations, policies and procedures
- Support project completion in timely manner, within budget, funding terms and due governance
- Any other ad-hoc work assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in a relevant Accounting / Business Administration discipline
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experiences to operate and manage independently in general admin and business operations
- Strong finance and/or accounting with excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proficiency in MS office applications
- Strong problem solving, analytical and systems thinking abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Resourceful, meticulous, open-minded and adaptable to changes and able to multi-task
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Good time management skills
