Assistant Manager, Laboratory Services

Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) https:
//www.Ntu.Edu.Sg/eee is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and research. It is one of the largest EEE schools in the world, with more than 130 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,000 are graduate students.
We invite applications for the position of Assistant Manager. The incumbent shall provide technical excellence across multiple laboratories in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

Laboratory Operations

• Manage, plan, and coordinate facilities and equipment in the EEE laboratories.
• Provide technical support on the setup for research projects.
• Develop engineering and technical guidance programs for maintenance and failure analysis of equipment and facilities.

Safety &
Training

• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and agencies for EEE laboratory safety, including inspections, audits, documentation, and reporting.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety standards are compliant with ISO45001 regulations.
• Development of training program and collaborative platform for knowledge sharing and information/idea exchange to fellow colleagues.

Requirement:

• A Degree or Diploma in Electrical and Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 years of relevant experience in the above scope.
• Hands on experience in equipment maintenance.
• Basic understanding of laboratory operation, processes, and procedure.
• Experience in Risk Management.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Self-motivated, able to coordinate works among different stakeholders, provide leadership support and ad-hoc responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
