Job Description


  • Perform regular review of pricing and costing of existing hospital services, packages and procedures. Maintain and update procedure charge codes, packages and dictionaries in the patient accounting module of Meditech system and communicate any changes to the relevant user departments.
  • Perform analytical analysis for pricing of new hospital services, packages and procedures. Liaise with hospital users to develop the cost drivers and standard cost for each procedure performed in the hospital.
  • Lead on-going pricing activities across all business units. Analyse and ensure that proposed pricing meets business/product target margins. Conduct regular analysis to assess pricing effectiveness versus the business plan.
  • Review resource capacity and utilization (e.G. for space, equipment capacity &
    utilization), analyse cost trends, perform cost, price and financial analysis.
  • Carry out competitor analysis in terms of price comparison of services rendered by the hospital against other private hospitals. Benchmark and monitor pricing strategy vs competition.
  • Prepare and drive regular discussions and quarterly pricing committee meetings on pricing strategy and provide competitive pricing insights.
  • Establish and maintain the work instructions for all cost accounting activities. Participate in the user acceptance testing of Meditech functional enhancement to ensure that the appropriate allocations and/or standards cost accurately flows through the information system and reflects the desired result.
  • Troubleshoot Meditech system-related issues raised by end users and propose/test the solutions or work arounds.
  • Support automation and digitalization projects which will lead to maximization of profit and improved productivity.
  • Provide information to management as well as hospital users.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned from time to time.


Job Requirements


  • Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or recognized professional accounting qualification or Chartered Accountant of Singapore.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry with strong financial accounting background and experience in pricing and costing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Able to work independently, meticulous with strong analytical skills and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate and relate to all levels of staff.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
