Business Analyst

Responsibilities:
- Analyze business processes, functions, and procedures to determine most effective business systems software/business process to meet the needs of the organization
- Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology
- Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and/or vendors;
manage changes to such specifications
- Develop test plans and coordinate software testing. Able to explore and collaborate with Automation Testing team for automation testing opportunities
- Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s), IT and/or vendors from initial requirements to final implementation
- Work with business partners within one business function to align technology solutions within business strategies
- Assist Project teams in development of project plans and use associated project planning tools as needed
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency and technical viability of solutions to business problem
- Establish specifications and objectives based on business requirements and cost effectiveness;
provide recommendationsto management personnel
- Collaborate with management in systems development and design
- Conduct insightful, ad-hoc analysis to investigate on-going or one-time operational issues
- Prepare project documentation such as Requirement Specifications/Use Case Specifications, User manuals, Test Strategy and Test Plan etc
Qualifications:
- Min Diploma holder, with mandatory prior experience in business analysis
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst working on core system development in Insurance Company, IT service company, consulting firm and etc
- Understand whole business operation process and products of insurance. Preference will be given to candidate who has experience in supporting Corporate Business like Commercial Line, Group Business or Affinity
- Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent planning, documentation, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills
- Result orientation, fast learner, open mind and creative
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
