Chemist Intern

You will be involved in product research and development projects related to new chemical sensors and new measurement equipment through theory, modeling, simulation, fabrication, assembly, programming and testing.

You will be working with an excellent, international multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in chemistry, optics, materials, physics, data analytics, software, electronics, mechanical design and circuit design.

As a Chemist Intern, you will:

• Work with senior engineers and scientists to realize final functionality for product integration
  
• Help to design test setups to enable high throughput measurement of new products
  
• Run test protocols to test the chemical sensors and measurement equipment
  
• Create and perform proper design of experiments and measurements to help build the chemometric and analytic models
  
• Apply basic data analysis to your results to check on the statistics and repeatability of the experiments
  
• Working and communicating with stakeholder to understand their needs
  
• Test result documentation and performance analysis
  
• Clear report and documentation of experiments and data collected
  

Requirements:

• Candidate must work for at least 5 months’ full time
  
• Candidate must be enrolled at a Polytechnic / University for the duration of the Internship in a course in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Engineering or equivalent.
  
• Basic programming skills with Python / Matlab / R or equivalent language
  
• Strong aptitude for learning and discovery.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication skills.
  
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented and tight scheduling environment.
