Roles &
Responsibilities


  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    Liaise with CM partners to ensure clear understanding of technical expectations/specifications during operations. Develop a team to perform as key technical experts to CM partners regarding manufacturing operations.
  • Operational &
    Engineering Management:
    Proactively manage CM execution and planning to meet ASM’s demands. Collaborate with CM program managers to eliminate operational issues in production, improve process efficiencies to gain productivity thus driving down costs.
  • Problem Resolution:
    Lead a team to identify and address any technical issues that may arise during manufacturing build (e.G., equipment malfunctions / process deviations). Provide technical expertise to resolve manufacturing issues and change request reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Collaborate and drive CMs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing process and value engineering opportunities.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure the production of highquality products at incoming, in process and outgoing. Work closely together with internal teams (e.G., quality) to conduct regular audits / inspections of manufacturing process.
  • Performance Management:
    Enable a clear CM’s Day–to–day operational performance on the ground and provide executive updates to management.
  • Contract Negotiations:
    Will be the single point of contact to work with CM Program Managers to lead, prepare, and negotiate all strategic vendor contracts for long term partnership to deliver business needs.
  • Change Management:
    Advocate clear change management process to govern at CM site, track and qualify all changes made to the form, fit and function of the product.
  • Project Management:
    Governs and instills project management best practices and principles in the organization.
  • Leads and prepares for regular assessments of projects including management reports. Maintains a clear status of all projects and KPI performance within the External Manufacturing function and able to identify risks with the other managers and de-escalate them.
  • Data Analytics:
    Develop real-time dashboards to establish clear overview of matrices and use data analytics to continuously improve team performance.


Requirements


  • Tertiary qualifications in supply chain mgmt., engineering, business, or related fields. PMP certification is a must.
  • >
    12 years of experience in commercial/business AND manufacturing (industry4.0, ops, quality, technology, planning) function required. Proven leadership experience in leading operations/project/technical engineers.
  • Experience in External and Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Processes &
    Quality Management. Proficiency in Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Drawings is a plus.
  • Experience in capital equipment contract manufacturing is highly desirable, particularly dealing with contract management, operation/delivery management and quality management.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead PMO teams regionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal &
    communication skills;
    mature, pleasant, and highly energetic personality.
  • Global cross-functional team leadership and management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within SEA, East Asia to visit CMs and any other countries as needed.
