Cook / Kitchen Assistant

About the Company and Job position:

Dil'B Restaurant primarily serves Indian and Malay cuisines with outdoor seating ambience and In-store collection. Located along the Changi Village, the restaurant serves the customers with the signature biriyani and for the early morning roti pratas. We are looking for an all rounder restaurant assistant who can join our team in the business operations.

Roles &
Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Must be able to cook Indian cuisines
  
• Perform pre and post restaurant housekeeping chores.
  
• Assist Cook in preparation of all meals
  
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen
  
• Sweep and clean the kitchen floor
  
• Perform stewarding duties including cleaning, sterilising and polishing cutlery, dishes and glassware
  
• Wash and clean all cooking utensils after every meal
  
• Prepare and serve ready meals for residents when required
  
• Perform such other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
  
• Transport foodstuffs;
  cleaning equipment, food lifts and furniture during pre and post restaurant activities
  
• Stocking foodcounters and side stations
  
• To adopt the First-In First-Out method for maintaining of all sundries and food items and ensure accurate stock level
  
• To assist in preparation of all meals in the absence of the Cook
  
• Operate Point of Sales System for orders taking and guest billings
  

Requirements

• Primary/Scondary School/GCE 'N' or 'O' Level, Professional Certificate/NITEC
  
• Preferred 2-5 year working experience
  
• Possess a current basic food hygiene certificate would be an advantage
  
• Motivated with positive attitude to learn
  
• Must be Customer service-oriented
  
• Cooperative and helpful with other team members
  
• Able to work shifts, weekends, eve of public holidays and public holidays
