Role and Responsibilities


We seek a skilled and motivated individual to join our Finance team in Singapore on a 6-month contract. This person will report to the Group Accounting &
Reporting Director and will support the Financial Controllers of Thailand and Hungary as well.




Costing


  • Main focus of this role is to provide accurate and timely product costing for quotations and commercial decisions


Financial Control


  • Analyze purchasing and manufacturing variances for the Hungary and Thailand plants, eg purchase price variance, material usage variance, etc.
  • Assist Financial Controllers to prepare monthly financial reports
  • Review standard costs for accuracy
  • Conduct periodic cost rolls
  • Develop annual labour and overhead rates


Budgetary/Forecast


  • Assist Financial Controllers to prepare budget and forecast
  • Review cost and capex spending and recommend corrective measures


Qualifications and Education Requirements


  • Degree in Accounting
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing company independently managing product costing.
  • Experience in standard costing, analysis of variance and taking corrective measures.
  • Experience in preparing financial budget, forecast etc.
  • Experience of working in well-established global multinationals with matrix reporting structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English
