Rheem Manufacturing Company (Singapore) Pte Ltd was established already in the 1970s. In Singapore, we are engaged in the importation and distribution of high-quality gas, electric storage-style water heaters, instant heaters, heat pumps and solar water heating systems throughout Southeast Asia




POSITION PURPOSE


Rheem is now seeking an ambitious and results-driven candidate who plays a key role in decision making for its Singapore operation and is fully responsible for P&
L, making sure that the company operations flow smoothly and economically. The candidate will be reporting to the General Manager of ASIA. The main challenge for this role over the coming years is driving business development – identifying and developing channel partners, developing concrete, action-oriented plans, leading and coaching a direct, field-based sales team in the SEA region with the full support of regional and global Rheem resources and network to realize this growth.


The preferred candidate will have significant sales and business development experience and will be comfortable operating independently without daily guidance. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the ambition, drive and tenacity needed to realize step-change growth and will be motivated by the challenge and the opportunity to have real impact.




Key Responsibilities:




The preferred candidate will:


· Take full accountability for the overall performance of the business in


the SEA region and ensure that all the business objectives are met


and align with the company’s goals and values.


· Possess business operations oversight by overseeing day-to-day


operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness which include,


Service, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, etc.


· Assess growth opportunities and segments in SEA region and develop


a concrete growth plan to drive consistent, profitable double-digit


growth.


· Oversee the entire implementation process, ensuring operational


results align with plans. To take responsibility for financial budget


plans, profit allocation, and usage plans.


· Collaborate with the senior management team to provide vision,


leadership, and management required to achieve the company’s


annual, mid-term and long-term objective.


· Establish organizational and business systems, ensuring effective


team building and selection of the management team. To validate


internal management structures and basic management systems


programs.


· Identify and exploit market opportunities, develop business targets


and plans to drive rapid business growth and maximize investment


returns.


· Preside over the overall management of the company. Formulate


annual performance goals, business development strategies plans,


and comprehensive marketing planning programs to achieve business


objectives.


· Take full ownership of the Profit and Loss (P&
L) statement, ensuring


the company meets its financial targets.


· Continuously optimize the allocation of human resources and


establish a high-performance culture to enhance the company’s


organizational capabilities.


· Work with Rheem China to ensure sales growth in both SEA region


and other Asian countries including implementation strategies to


expand market share and customer base.


· Collaborate closely with Rheem China in areas of finance, purchasing,


engineering, and operations to ensure best practices are implemented


across all areas of Rheem SEA.

· Ensure that the technical, marketing and sales capabilities of the field


sales team and distributor partners are the best. Value selling with a


clearly defined and differentiated proposition, opposed to low cost, is


essential and the team must be capable of understanding customers’


needs to provide product and service solutions which add value to th


customer.


· To become an industry influencer, an ambassador of the company in


the market and work proactively to influence the development of the


industry standards and regulations.


· Establish Rheem as the Industry Leader and “Go to” brand for water


heating solutions.




Short and Mid-Term Expectations and Results:




Rheem foresees the following time path and according to expectations regarding the candidate’s first 3 - 12 months:




· First 3 months:
Gain a solid perspective of the business, its potential,


the quality of existing resources and their potential. Formulate a first


cut growth plan for SEA region.


· 6 months:
Has a well-developed growth plan for SEA region,


communicated to all key stake holders. Plan includes having thought


through the distributor partners, organizational structure, resourcing


requirements and brand development. Leverages the relationships


and capabilities of other teams in the company, most notably with


Singapore and China manufacturing plant, to drive quick wins


through joint techno commercial efforts.


· 12 months:
The growth plan has matured, shows considerable


granularity and a clear plan to sequence and prioritize the team’s


efforts so it remains focused. Channel partners for residential as well


as commercial products are well established with full buy-in of agreed


business plans at all levels, from CEO to promoter. The Rheem team is


now hitting it on all cylinders and is delivering a steady pace of double-


digit revenue growth with a credible pipeline of opportunities that will


make such pace sustainable.




Education and Professional Experience




· Bachelor’s or master’s Degree preferably major in HVAC, mechanical


design and manufacturing, or related fields.


· At least 20 years of experience in multinational foreign manufacturing


companies.


· Minimum of 10 years in leadership roles with proven track record in


growing businesses and driving organizational change.


· Preferred minimum 5 years of overseas working experience, adding


to the understanding of international business environments and


cultural contexts.


· Fluent in both English and Mandarin, including spoken and written


proficiency. This is critical for effective communication within the


region and with headquarters.

situations- and being prone to acting- will distinguish our successful


candidate from others.


· Ideally be able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations, driving


insights from limited data and continuously and proactively identifying


opportunities to address customer needs in new and better ways.


· Have a strong customer focus, service mindset and business profile


and can recognize and close (business) opportunities.
