Data and Analytics Associate APAC




Role Purpose


In this position, located in Singapore, you are reporting to Chief Business Development Office APAC, who oversees the development of Data Strategy for Asendia Group in the region. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and hygiene of data output by leveraging specific business understanding from the data product requirement as a key task. You should possess specific knowledge in data management and warehousing technologies and familiarity in managing big data from multiple sources. You will need to work independently in terms of problem solving and developing documentation in relation to the work progress and development outcome of a key data product.




Your Tasks


  • Support in designing the target “Datamart” to ensure all the data transformed through multiple systems can link with BI platform ensuring a smooth generation of constructive required reports.
  • Analyse data sources and build complex data pipelines to collect, collate, and transform data from different sources to be consumed and used by the business intelligence and analytics community across Asendia.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the data warehouse model (AWS Redshift). Troubleshoot and fix errors to ensure good data quality.
  • Work with data analysts and key users in the organisation to ensure business needs are met regarding the scope of data to be made available.
  • Write and review technical documents including architecture, glossary, etc.
  • Implement Data acquisition framework, using AWS tools (Glue/S3/RDS) to aggregate various sources using different EDI:
    Flat files, API, etc.
  • Implement best practices for database and cloud data for efficient storage and performance and improvement of the BI with new technology and tools.




Your Profile


  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data management, with a strong focus on analyzing, and securing big data from multiple sources. Expertise in data warehousing technologies, especially AWS Redshift, is critical.
  • Extensive technical experience with Python for data manipulation, AWS services (Redshift, S3, Glue) for comprehensive data storage and integration solutions, and SQL for complex database management.
  • Strong track record with business intelligence and analytics tools, with significant proficiency in PowerBI for advanced data visualization and analytical reporting.
  • Excellent written communication to produce detailed technical documentation, including architecture designs and technical process guides, and convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Able to work independently and manage projects, with a strong track record of solving intricate problems and developing innovative solutions.
