Design Manager

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• To lead design team to achieve following targets for the civil engineering, Geotechnical engineering, infrastructural design works.
  
• To guide consultant and review their design to ensure the design adequacy to meet the relevant requirements and the projects preference.
  
• To present /clarify the design results to the client and other stakeholders and obtain their consensus.
  
• To optimize the design to reduce cost and construction schedule effectively.
  
• To complete all design works including necessary approvals without adversary affecting the tender/construction schedule.
  
• To coordinate with construction team to make sure the feasibility and constructability of designed scheme.
  
• To train and enhance capabilities of design engineers.
  
• To collect information on the future projects.
  
• To act as a team member of productivity enhancement team which is expected to enhance/improve site productivity.
  

Requirements:

• 
  
• A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the PE Board
  
• At least 15-year experience in related design and engineering field.
  
• At least 12-year experience in design of civil and structures of large-scale projects (S$100mil)
  
• Prior work experience in Singapore is an advantage.
  
• Must have knowledge is Auto-CAD, MS Excel and Words.
  
• Knowledge in SAP2000 and other design software is desirable.
  
• Understand international and domestic standards for design work (e.G. British standard, Singapore standard and other off-shore design standard etc)
  
• Experience for marine structure D&
  B plant project is advantage.
  
• Experience for overseas ODA project is advantage.
