Devops Engineer (Gov/System Automation) - Spvw

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
  
• Implement monitoring solutions and manage monitoring and alerting tools.
  
• Spearhead cloud operations with a strong focus on monitoring, performance tuning, and release management within AWS environments
  
• Maintain configuration management, build, continuous integration, and deployment tools.
  
• Organize and execute maintenance schedules and system upgrades to optimize cloud infrastructure performance, liaising with vendors and teams for seamless cloud environment stability
  
• Design and implement production infrastructure architecture based on application requirements, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
  
• Lead change management initiatives by assessing impacts thoroughly, crafting strategies, and developing risk mitigation measures
  
• Ensure incident management and escalation procedures are robust and proactive, prioritizing multiple issues effectively.
  
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains, expect to participate in on-call escalations to troubleshoot customer-facing issues
  

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant DevOps experience.
  
• Prior hands-on experience in handling highly scalable distributed system, configuring automated build, test, and deploy pipelines to streamline the software delivery process.
  
• Proficient in containerization technologies such as Docker, LXC and Kubernetes.
  
• Proficient in configuration management systems (Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Vagrant, Puppet).
  
• Strong proficiency in AWS services and architecture (Related certification will be advantageous).
  
• Competent in operational cloud technology activities, including impact assessments and service improvement execution
  
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, JavaScript and shell scripting.
  
• Experience in one or more Cloud infrastructures such as OpenStack, CloudStack, vSphere.
