Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Domain Expert and Data Scientist in ESG to lead our sustainability initiatives, focusing on net zero modeling and ESG data-driven analytics. This role demands a proactive approach to integrating ESG practices, a strong analytical background, and the ability to manage complex projects independently. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with business stakeholders to align sustainability efforts with organizational goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of net zero modeling, scenario analysis and other ESG projects, ensuring alignment with our sustainability objectives.
- Analyze ESG data and trends to provide strategic insights and recommendations for enhancing our ESG performance.
- Engage frequently with business stakeholders to gather requirements, present findings, and refine sustainability strategies based on feedback.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of ESG projects, from initial analysis through to implementation and evaluation. Experience in production environment of financial institutions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of ESG metrics to internal and external stakeholders, adhering to relevant standards and regulations.
- Act as a key ESG resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on current and emerging ESG trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with various teams to integrate ESG considerations into broader business processes and decisions.

- Awareness and understanding of the Group's ESG strategy and model appropriate to the role.
Business
- Awareness and understanding of how the ESG models operating in the Group
Processes
- Responsible for developing some ESG-related Machine Learning models
Risk Management
- The ability to interpret the Machine Learning models, identify key issues and put in place appropriate model controls and measures.
Governance
- identify key Responsible AI related to the models developed

Qualifications
Our Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of experience in data analytics with strong knowledge in programming
- 3+ years of direct working experience in the ESG domain, particularly in roles requiring net zero modeling and sustainability strategy implementation.
- Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record in data analytics or data science, with a strong ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
- Proficiency in statistical and data visualization tools (e.G., Python, Excel, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills, with proficiency in engaging with and presenting to business stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Good to have data science skill for machine learning modelling.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Environmental Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
