The Director of Operations, with a strong focus on Food and Beverage (F&
B), involves strategic planning, leadership, and ensuring that all operations (including F&
B Services, HousekeepingSports and Recreation) meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role will work closely with departmental managers to deliver exceptional member experiences and ensure the smooth running of all clubhouse activities.




Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning and Implementation:


  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance clubhouse and F&
    B operations.
  • Ensure alignment with the club's overall goals and objectives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and due diligence on F&
    B projects and business development activities.


Operational Management:


  • Oversee daily operations of the F&
    B, housekeeping, security, general maintenance, and sports and recreation departments.
  • Ensure all services meet the club's quality standards and member expectations.
  • Review, evaluate, and implement sound policies, systems, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and good governance.


Team Leadership:


  • Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and staff.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Identify and establish comprehensive staff training and development plans.
  • Create career development opportunities and succession plans for critical roles.


Financial Management:


  • Develop and manage budgets for assigned departments.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures.
  • Consolidate financial and management reports for senior management reviews.
  • Review and analyze operational matters such as labour utilization and productivity.


Member Relations:


  • Ensure exceptional member experiences by maintaining high service standards.
  • Address and resolve member complaints and feedback promptly.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with members by proactively soliciting feedback and attending to concerns.


Committee Collaboration:


  • Work closely with various committees to develop and implement club policies and initiatives.
  • Attend committee meetings and provide regular updates on operations.


Compliance and Safety:


  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and club policies.
  • Oversee safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment for members and staff.


Continuous Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to enhance club services.
  • Review periodical F&
    B promotional and marketing plans, strategies, products, menus, and pricing.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of related work experience in F&
    B activities, with at least 10 years in a hospitality environment.
  • Proven experience in senior management roles within the hospitality or club industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional member experiences.


Work Environment:


  • This role requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of club operations and events.
