Conduct primary technical reviews of the contractors work and ensure approvals are obtained where relevant


Evaluate and advise on electrical related design changes and non-conformances to ensure fulfilment of the requirements


Identify new business opportunities and have involvement in bids/tenders etc


Provides guidance and direction on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and policies


Independently applies knowledge and complies with quality program relative to assigned tasks


Oversees collection, assimilation, and management of data for engineering work


May offer other services to the clients


Provide electrical engineering and technical expertise to ensure the safe and reliable operation of electric power systems in processing facilities worldwide


Originate plans and develop strategies for power systems worldwide to ensure electrical reliability and safety in the most cost effective manner


Participate in engineering design through all phases of the process


Preparation or supervision of drawings for plant general arrangements, power single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, P&
IDs, control system architecture drawings, and cable, instrument and I/O schedules at detailed design level.


Some electrical design will also be required for integration and system development of electro-mechanical systems


Assist in design and documentation of vehicle electrical architecture


Develop Project Timelines in support of Program milestones


Development and Release of Engineering Component and Assembly Drawings


Resolve Test Issues and Document Through the use of the PDCA Process


Test and certification report generation


Provides electrical engineering and project management expertise in support of projects, to ensure stated quality, operational, safety, schedule and budget objectives are met


Provide training to electricians on safety


Ensure complete and current electrical prints for all machines


Maintain documentation for all electrical components used


Organize documentation and electrical prints


Design Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) using Altium Designer for Schematic, and layout


A working knowledge of cost estimating, code review, field investigation, report and memo writing and other similar electrical engineering related tasks


Power distribution, essential power systems including generators and UPS, Substations, transformers, metering, primary and secondary switchgear, motor control and motor control centers Life Safety including Fire Alarm system design


Prepare reports, proposals, and tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans and other supporting documentation as required


Develop standards related to our electrical engineering practice, ensuring best practices for project delivery, and when applicable sustainable building constructions


Lighting, Lighting Control systems.


Manage internal and external stakeholders - Support and run the commercial and contractual side of projects


Evaluates and test components


Ensures design, fabrication, maintenance and repair methods/processes are developed executed in a manner, which supports all quality standards


Develops, designs low voltage (600V) and medium voltage (15kV) and high voltage (115kV) electrical distribution systems for building, industrial and utility facilities


Performs electrical system design for switchgear, switchboards, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, generators, transformers, distribution panels and various raceway systems


Designs underground medium voltage distribution systems and sizes electrical low voltage (600V) and medium voltage (15kV) and high voltage (115kV) equipment


Serves as the Engineer of Record for drawings, specifications and reports prepared under their direction


Performs field investigations, field inspections and witnesses start-up/acceptance testing activities


Works effectively in a collaborative environment with Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers and Structural Engineers on large multi-discipline projects


Coordinates with Mechanical, Fire, Architecture, Structural and Civil disciplines for comprehensive building design or modification.


Provide instruction on electrical drawing and using AutoCAD electrical


Work with PCB Fabrications houses to develop the stack-ups, dieletric materials, routing guidelines, and any Design For Manufacturing (DFM) suggestions


Write AFCEs


Determine project specifications


Compare equipment and select manufacturer


Work with on-shift maintenance personnel to find and fix problems on down equipment


Engineer solution to fix root cause and prevent recurring failures


Create and conduct training, if required, to prevent future downtime


Design equipment upgrades to optimize machine performance


Estimate total project costs and estimate project payback


Responsible for designing, testing, supporting, and troubleshooting components of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical systems operating up to several megawatts


Develop system-level and/or physics-based models of components and devices in support of new technology development, project engineering, and test &
evaluation


Develop and/or improve the test methods and procedures


Write test procedures and technical papers


Responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of advanced power electronic systems for both military and commercial applications


Will lead and direct small technical teams (engineers, designers and technicians) in solving complex problems


Responsible for writing requirements, specifications, and design reports


Act as an expert and advisor in power electronics engineering and electrical engineering area


Advises and directs the activities of assigned programs and/or projects to achieve technical objectives


Responsible for digital and analog design with power electronics emphasis and must be able to do system level design and analysis




Requirement:


Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.


Knowledge of international codes &
standards IEC, ANSI / IEEE


Significant experience in the power generation industry strongly desired


Prepare Electrical Engineering deliverables such as calculations, equipment specifications, datasheet


Working knowledge of “AutoCAD” or equivalent CAD system, MS Project, and MS Office


Track record of launching high volume electronics products, especially low power platforms


Knowledge of the PCB design process and tools experience with Cadence or Altium products


Proficiency with EE lab instruments and their use in verification and troubleshooting


Experience with ODM, JDM, or CM models of product development


Self-starter and creative problem-solver
