Through the Engineers in Leadership program, candidates will learn and grow over an intensive two-year rotational period. One of those assignments includes a rotation in an international location, in this case Singapore. Candidates have the chance to immerse themselves in Emerson’s business, working directly with senior executives and mentors to contribute and build technical and leadership skills. Candidates will find exciting work opportunities while rotating between Emerson’s sales and marketing, engineering and supply chain operations. This broad exposure to our business will help develop and grow today’s most talented engineers into Emerson’s leaders of tomorrow.


Responsibilities:


Job functions will vary by rotation, but responsibilities may include:


Sales and Marketing


  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of driven products and technologies.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales channel to establish customer visit strategies. Coordinate and participate in customer sales presentations.
  • Develop customer stories that support core messaging strategy. Collaborate with Marketing Communications to translate messaging into sales collateral and web material.
  • Perform business justification calculations for new product solutions.



Engineering and Product Development


  • Develop, test and optimize new or existing products for safety, quality, efficiency and to meet economic goals and standards. Document designs and specifications.
  • Identify design related cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provides technical support to manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, vendors and customers.



Supply Chain and Operations


  • Lead a value chain improvement program. Lead all aspects of data gathering, analysis, project kick-off, value chain mapping and ensure projects are developing well and are on schedule.
  • Engage in improvement programs such as sales order management, inventory performance, and new product development.
  • Identify performance opportunities where key business metrics are not meeting goal. Provide analysis and improvement plan.


Requirements:


  • BS in engineering from an accredited university
  • Desire for global travel and relocation opportunities
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills
  • Consistent track record of leadership capabilities
  • Interest in multi-functional roles outside of traditional engineering
