Finance Analyst, Asia

Position Objective:

Cognita Asia Holdings Pte Ltd is part of Cognita Group and we are looking for a Finance Analyst to be part of our Finance team. Our ideal colleague will have a good mix of Accounting, Business Planning and Commercial Finance experience.

This role will undertake the full aspect of financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting, including some regulatory reporting. The incumbent will be responsible for consolidation, review and analysis of Profit &
Loss, Balance Sheet andCashflow, Capex spending across Asia schools:

• Lead reporting process for the region to meet internal and external requirements
  
• Coordinate, communicate, collaborate with Head Office, Regional Office and Schools on budgeting, forecasting and reporting timelines and deliverables
  
• Support Regional Financial Controller and CFO in delivering Asia’s Finance team goals
  

Responsibilities:

Long-term planning / Budgeting /Forecasting:

• Co-ordinate with Group HQ and lead Region and schools to update monthly forecast, yearly budget, long-term planning
  
• Collaborate with schools to ensure deliverables and timelines are met
  
• Review and consolidate Profit &
  Loss, Cashflow, CAPEX and KPI performance
  
• Drive forecast accuracy with schools
  
• Develop scenario-models for long-term business planning and target-setting
  

Management Reporting/Financial Reporting &
Analysis:

• Provide critical business information to management by researching and analyzing financial and market data
  
• Collaborate with Finance and Operation teams to support financial performance and delivery of KPI
  
• Present financial results and outlook to Region and Group HQ
  
• Prepare executive decks for review with leadership teams and Group HQ
  
• Create and drive use of standard dashboards and reporting decks across Asia
  

Treasury:

• Manage cashflow requirements, repatriation of funds and Group borrowings between schools and Group Treasury
  

Regional projects and initiatives:

• Contribute to projects by providing finance expertise
  
• Co-ordinate with Group HQ, Region and schools to complete projects as required
  

Position Requirements:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Able to lead and influence small groups within and across functions
  
• Able to manage stakeholder requirements and prioritize outcomes to meet deadlines
  
• Experience in use of IT systems, management reporting and scorecard creation
  
• Has an analytical mindset with an eye for details, even when managing large amounts of data
  
• Experience with use of technology and digital systems
  
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications:

• Qualified accountant
  
• At least 4 to 5 years of accounting and / or financial reporting &
  analysis experience
