General Manager (Construction)

Responsibilities:
The General Manager (Construction Project Management/Operations) will report directly to the Managing Director and must have extensive experience and knowledge in the construction industry. The applicant should have strong organizational and communication skills and will be responsible for day-to-day operations to meet operational objectives aligned with overall business goals. Specific responsibilities include:
A) Project Management and Execution:
- Provide guidance and input to the team on the marketing plan for potential job opportunities, tenders, and the execution and completion of all projects to meet budget and timeline.
B) Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the General Manager of Engineering, MEP, Commercial, Contracts, and Finance &
Administration divisions to ensure that operational processes are streamlined and optimized to improve efficiency and productivity, meeting business objectives.
C) Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the Corporate Planning Team to develop and implement the company strategic plan to achieve long and short-term team goals and targets.
Job Requirements:
- Educational Qualifications:
Recognized Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or equivalent, preferably recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore or Board of Architects. - Experience:
At least 20 years of practical working experience, with 10 years in Building Projects Construction Management with a Main Contractor in a Senior Management role. - Skills:
Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team of departmental heads.
Certificate in Construction Safety Course for Project Managers.
Good knowledge of local authority requirements and engineering standards.
Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal communication skills.
