Geologist

The individual in this role is accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of all SI projects, with the aim of contributing to the attainment of sales revenue objectives. They are also required to collaborate with the Manager, Site Manager, and Deputy Manager to ensure the successful completion of contracted projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collecting, analysing and interpreting data
  
• Planning, organising and undertaking field work/site investigations
  
• Managing and liaising with engineers, consultants, contractors and geotechnical engineers
  
• Supervise, check, evaluate and record all spoil data
  
• Prepare soil data reports and ensure quality of field work
  
• Prepare site investigation report
  
• Assist, support and supervise in instrumentation works
  
• Identifying soil and rock classification
  
• Providing of the site photos and preparing the field bore logs
  
• Support the technical team and construction team for all geotechnical and instrumentation matters
  
• Reviews all geotechnical documentation and drawings of the Project works
  

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Formal education in Civil Engineering or Ground investigation and instruments installation.
  
• Strong understanding of drilling operations and soil and rock classifications.
  
• Mandatory relevant safety certificate.
  
• Compulsory registration as an Earthwork Supervisor.
  
• Possess class 3 driving licence
