JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Head Chocolatier will be responsible for overseeing the operations. This role requires strong leadership skills and independent decision-making.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:


  1. To gain full knowledge of the products
  2. To get to know the team, their roles and responsibilities
  3. To lead the production team, and plan weekly production schedules
  4. To ensure consistent production of all chocolate confections according to the recipes and standards
  5. To maintain sufficient stock of all products
  6. To ensure proper storage of stock
  7. Ordering ingredients, and reduce wastage
  8. Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work environment
  9. Ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner
  10. Liaise with customers for delivery of their orders
  11. Develop and implement new chocolate recipes and products in line with market trends and customer preferences.


Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.




REQUIREMENTS:


  • Qualified pastry chef with a certificate or degree in pastry arts, from a recognised culinary school.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing a production kitchen, including overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality control, and leading a team of culinary professionals
  • Basic knowledge of how to temper and work with chocolate
  • Responsible &

  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
