Job Summary:


The Head of IT is responsible for overseeing the information technology operations of the organization. This role involves managing IT infrastructure, ensuring the security of digital assets, leading a team of IT professionals, and implementing technology solutions that align with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive technological innovation.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

    • Develop and implement the IT strategy in alignment with the organization's goals.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the IT department, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Stay current with technological advancements and industry trends to ensure the organization remains competitive.

  2. IT Operations Management:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of IT services.
    • Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems across multiple brands.
    • Ensure high availability and reliability of IT systems and services.

  3. Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.

  4. Security and Compliance:

    • Develop and implement IT security policies and procedures to protect the organization’s data and systems.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
    • Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches.

  5. Project Management:

    • Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their technology needs.
    • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and products.

  6. Budget Management:

    • Develop and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Monitor and report on IT expenditures and financial performance.


Qualifications:


  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Bachelor degree or relevant certifications (e.G., ITIL, PMP) are highly desirable.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Technical Skills:
    Extensive knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise software systems as well as retail system such as POS.
  • Leadership Skills:
    Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage performance, and drive change.
  • Project Management:
    Strong project management skills, with experience in managing large-scale IT projects.
  • Communication:
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
