HSSE Officer
Work Dynamics - Integrated Facilities Management
Location:
Jurong Island

We are seeking an experienced &
qualified Health Safetyand Environmental (HSSE) Officer to join our team. The HSSE Officer will be responsible for developing HSSE plans, conducting safety training, and driving compliance with the teams on company's HSSE management system and country specific regulation. The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and a strong commitment to promoting a safe and healthy work environment. The ability to work independently, partner with the teams, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively are also essential.

  • Manage and coordinate all safety and health matters of Jurong Island and ensure there are in compliance with Client and Singapore legislation.
  • Develop, review and advise the Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Work Method Statement (WMS) on the operational activities and validate the Permit-To-Work (PTW) submission before work commencement within Jurong Island premise.
  • Conduct risk assessments, internal audits and Incident investigations to all incidents, accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences event within Jurong Island premises.
  • Conduct internal safety training for staff and vendors.
  • Review the existing safety procedures in the workplace and recommend new safety procedures as and when required.
  • Organize and / or conduct daily Workplace Safety and Health inspection and recommend corrective measures to rectify any non-compliance observed.
  • Maintain relevant safety records, records and certificates required under the WSH act.
  • Advise client and management in all matters pertaining to safety and health including compliance with Singapore legislation
  • Maintain and update HSSE documents, equipment, project documentations and records.
  • Able to communicate and work closely with Client and partners


Qualification

  • MOM Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer certificate
  • Bachelor's or Diploma and or advanced degrees in the engineering or HSSE education field.
  • Trained and accredited by local Occupational Safety and Health Standards
  • 3 - 5 years of experience working for HSSE or project management.
  • Working knowledge of progressive HSSE principles including human factors, industrial psychology as applied to HSSE, behavioural safety management principles
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding in Facilities Management and technical understanding.
