Infra Storage Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Installation, administration and maintenance support for Storage Area Network and Enterprise Backup.
  
• Playing a major role in the operations of the storage and backup infrastructure
  
• Regularly updating the firmware, Health check and monitoring of the storage devices.
  
• Ensure that operational SLA's are met, and crafting meaningful reports and metrics to track progress of current infrastructure, including capacity planning and operational improvements
  
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of the storage solution is in place.
  
• Prepare test plan in consultation with the customer to ensure the solution can functionally.
  
• Backup job configuration and scheduling.
  
• Backup server performance tuning.
  
• Troubleshoot any backup related.
  
• Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) for all the critical systems and ensure successful rebuild of Production or DR servers after each DR should the need arise.
  
• Identify potential changes and system improvements for consideration and implementation (continuous improvements)
  
• Create, maintain and distribute status reports of progress to Manager
  
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned.
  

Requirements

• At least 8 years of IT experience in administering Enterprise Storage (Hitachi Dell EMC, Networker) design, deployment, and operations in a large enterprise environment.
  
• Experience in Enterprise Backup solutions design and operations.
  
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and adeptness in creative problem-solving.
  
• In-depth knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks, particularly within the financial services industry.
  
• Experience in bash, PowerShell and other scripting for operational efficiency.
  
• Experience in managing day to day operations of Enterprise IT infrastructure, including the change management process, risk and impact assessment.
  
• Experience in performing VM migration on databases like Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL would be advantageous.
  
• Ability to direct project design and planning activities associated with complex or large sized network infrastructure development projects.
  
• Experience in dealing with vendors on technology and services.
