We seek a highly skilled and motivated IT/Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. The successful applicant will ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, providing the necessary support to end-users to maintain high operational performance.


Infrastructure Management


  • Maintain and manage company IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems
  • Perform regular system monitoring and analysis, ensuring consistent network connectivity and availability
  • Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware


Technical Support


  • Provide first and second-level support for hardware and software issues
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly
  • Assist in troubleshooting network problems and outages
  • Manage user accounts and permissions


System Maintenance and Upgrades


  • Perform regular updates, patches, and configuration changes
  • Plan and execute hardware and software upgrades
  • Monitor system performance and ensure efficient operation


Documentation and Reporting


  • Maintain detailed documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures
  • Create and maintain incident and problem logs
  • Generate reports on system performance, usage, and incidents


Project Support


  • Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and implementations
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for purchases of outsourced services and hardware/software


User Support


  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to users to ensure effective use of IT resources


Experience:


  • Nitec/Diploma and above in Information Technology, Information Systems
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field
  • Min. 1 year of similar experience is preferred
  • Strong organisational skills to perform and prioritise multiple tasks with good attention to detail
  • Able to work independently as well as a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills


Other Information:


  • This position may require on-call support and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as required
