Job Summary:

As a Junior/Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance manager. You will assist in the preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping:
   Assist with recording day-to-day financial transactions.
   
2. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
   Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
   
3. Bank Reconciliations:
   Ensure accuracy between bank statements and general ledger.
   
4. Financial Reporting:
   Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
   
5. Budget Monitoring:
   Help monitor budgets and report any variances.
   
6. Audit Support:
   Assist auditors during financial audits.
   
7. Compliance:
   Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting regulations, and legal requirements.
   
8. Support:
   Provide support to senior accountants and finance team as needed.
   

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  
• Good organizational and time management skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification or progress towards certification.
  
• Prior experience in accounting or finance roles (internships or entry-level positions).
