As an Infrastructure Engineer Lead at JPMorgan Chase within the CTO Office, Global Technology Applied Research Quantum Communications Team, you develop knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Through this work you begin to apply your proficiency in a single application or technical methodology.
Job responsibilities
- Drives a GTAR workstream or project consisting of multiple infrastructure engineering technologies including design, implementing and supporting, in the field of quantum communications and cryptography
- Applies strong technical acumen and problem solving to projects of moderate to large scope ensuring requirements were successfully met, proposing and implementing technologically sound accelerators
- Executes creative solutions for the design, development and technical troubleshooting for problems of moderate complexity
- Works with other stakeholders and external engagements to architect and implement changes required to resolve issues and modernize the organization and its technology processes
- Scope project roadmap with a strategic mindset incorporating novel technology solutions with consideration for non-technical implications
- Oversees all risk, control and compliance in alignment with internal stakeholders and procedure
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Info-communications Engineering or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years of experience required in technical role in Networking, Telecommunications, Info-communications or Technology Innovation
- Deep knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
- Proven ability to install systems from scratch;
and compute systems from bare-metal, comfortable working with systems not limited to but including CLI
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and taking initiative/ownership under minimal supervision
- Highly resourceful, being able to source for novel solutions and implement them
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Attention to detail, strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems without guidance is a strong advantage
- Worked on systems prototyping or in related research and development environment would be advantageous
- Excellent organizational, time management, written and visual presentation skills
