Learning Technologies and Digital Media (LTDM) serves the NTU community by providing end-to-end solutions for teaching and learning, as well as digital media production support.
You will be part of the Creative Services team, supervising and supporting the in-house Photography in providing media event-critical services requested by the University stakeholders, ensuring high-quality visual content that meets the NTU's standards and timelines.
The role requires demonstrated experience in executing event photography, 360 tours, outdoor portrait photography and studio photography. Additionally, it demands the ability to navigate the complexities of collaborating with various teams to ideate and discuss complex artistic concepts, as well as the capability to work independently to manage workflow, meet deadlines and deliver an excellent user experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the daily operations of the photography team by managing photography sessions, assigning tasks, monitoring team performance, and providing technical and creative support to team members.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all photographic content meets University standards before delivery.
  • Identify and implement improvements in processes and practices to enhance the efficiency and quality of the photography team's output. Document, update and ensure adherence to these refined processes within standard operating protocols.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between University stakeholders and the photography team, ensuring stakeholder requirements are clearly communicated and met.
  • Responsible for the safety, maintenance and inventory control of photography equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical and creative consultation to stakeholders across the University concerning Digital Media service requests and photography matters and troubleshoot issues when required.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Multimedia related field, preferably with at least 3 years of full-time photographic work experience.
  • Must present portfolio of work showcasing event photography, indoor and outdoor portrait shoots.
  • A keen eye for detail with well-developed artistic and creative aesthetics.
  • Possess strong knowledge in workflows and techniques for event photography, 360 tours, outdoor portrait photography and studio photography, including styling, compositing, planning lighting design, and setting up and operating lighting equipment like strobes (eg. Profoto) and constant lights (eg. Aputure).
  • Demonstrates strong colour editing and retouching skills with a good understanding of photo printing requirements and optimisation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Lightroom, Capture One Pro, and any other relevant photo editing software.
  • Experience in managing a photography studio.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with various teams to ideate, discuss complex artistic concepts, and working independently to manage workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt easily to short-notice changes.
  • A positive self-starter who is resourceful and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Must be flexible to work some weekends and evenings when required.
