About Our Client

They are looking for a Legal Manager who will play a key role in supporting both their investment and compliance functions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring legal activities run smoothly and efficiently, contributing directly to the success of their investment strategies.

Job Description

• Dive into the preparation and review of crucial legal documents, including investment agreements, contracts, and compliance papers, ensuring every detail aligns with our high standards.
  
• Navigate the intricacies of fund structuring documents, providing essential support in their preparation and review.
  
• Conduct in-depth legal research to empower our investment and administrative teams with insights into investment opportunities, regulatory requirements, and legal challenges.
  
• Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory compliance documents to agencies such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), ensuring we always stay ahead of the curve.
  
• Maintain and organize legal files, documents, and records pertaining to investment transactions and regulatory compliance with precision and care.
  
• Collaborate with our Compliance and HR departments to develop policies and forms that meet regulatory standards and our group requirements.
  
• Work closely with various departments, including finance, operations, and compliance, to ensure seamless adherence to legal requirements across the board.
  
• Play a vital role in the due diligence process for potential investments by reviewing financial statements, conducting background checks, and assessing legal risks.
  
• Monitor and track deadlines, legal filings, and regulatory updates to ensure our compliance framework is always robust and up-to-date.
  
• Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and security for all sensitive legal information and documents.
  

The Successful Applicant

• Graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree
  
• At least 4 years of legal experience in investment and corporate finance transactions
  
• Possess strong understanding of investment regulations, legal procedures, and financial terminology
  
• Excel at communication, teamwork, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Experienced managing cross-border legal matters and external counsel would be a plus
  
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
