Job Summary:
The M&
E Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all costs relating to building and engineering projects. This includes new builds, refurbishment, and maintenance projects. The role ensures that the project is completed within its projected budget, providing accurate cost assessments, financial reports, and overseeing contracts from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management:
- Prepare and analyze cost estimates and budgets for M&
E projects. - Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive cost reports and projections.

- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Analyze and compare subcontractor quotes and prices.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure efficient contract negotiation and procurement.

- Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage contract variations, valuations, and final accounts.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to provide financial insights and support.

Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.G., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on M&
E services. - Strong knowledge of M&
E systems, materials, and installation methods.
