Reporting to the Director of Marketing, and working closely with all the Business Units, the Manager of Strategic Partnerships &
Community Engagement will be responsible for driving the growth of SFC through partnerships and business development initiatives.


The role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating deals, and managing relationships with partners. The incumbent will also execute the strategic direction for growth within the membership area, planning, designing and implementing membership growth and retention strategy that aligns with SFC’s strategic objectives. The incumbent will also be responsible for community outreach, identifying opportunities to collaborate, increase awareness and grow the fashion community.


Key responsibilities


Business Development &
Partnerships


  • Develop and execute business development and partnership strategies that align with the SFC’s goals
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships and business opportunities
  • Foster close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for end-to-end accountability over the partnership programme design, concept scoping and measurable commercial outcomes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies on membership and partnership growth
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with existing partners to maximise the value of the partnership
  • Regular report of progress, risks and outcomes
  • Develop and manage SFC’s sponsorship strategies to achieve set KPIs and revenue target
  • Work with events lead on budget and forecast sponsorship sales and expenses


Membership


  • Lead the development of new members and retention strategies
  • Identify opportunities and collaborate with partners to enhance membership benefits
  • Oversee onboarding of new members and foster good relationships with members organisations and individuals to optimise the value of membership services
  • Track member and non-member activities, review strategy to increase member engagement and prospect conversion
  • Lead in implementation of members and prospects communications strategy
  • Work closely with Marketing team to execute campaigns to generate quality leads
  • Develop, maintain and implement SOPs for effective administration and workflow
  • Monthly report of membership status
  • Conceptualise, plan and implement outreach and community engagement efforts with IHLs as to collaborate and nurture talents and to create pipelines for membership


Pre-requisites:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience managing commercial business with large organisations, including engagement with C-level executives
  • A proven track record in business development and partnerships
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse market trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • Strong project management skills, including organisation and detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and changing requirements
  • Resourcefulness with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized, efficient with an eye for details and follow-through
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
