Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receipt, and test procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions, ensuring compliance with prescribed regulations and accreditation standards.
  
• Comply with protocols on safe laboratory practices during testing.
  
• Maintain and contribute to the standards of performance and quality improvement of laboratory services.
  
• Report any complaint, request, or feedback from users of laboratory services.
  
• Operates and maintains the facility and equipment within the laboratory.
  
• Participate in immediate and corrective actions, incident investigation, and internal audit, as required.
  
• Inventory management of supplies for laboratory services using lean principles.
  
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and performs technical validation.
  
• Participate in quality improvement and prescribed external quality assurance programs.
  
• Attend training and professional development programs related to work.
  
• Perform shift duties, as required.
  
• Any other roles as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
  

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Laboratory Medicine, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or any other equivalent qualification.
  
• 1-3 year of relevant job experience in a clinical laboratory.
  
• Able to work independently and be a team player.
  
• Good general health and no color blindness.
  
• Strong laboratory and analytical skills.
  
• Able to perform detailed work with a high level of accuracy.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Highly motivated and willing to learn.
  
• Experience in molecular diagnostics and ELISA will be advantageous
