Job Description:

In-Store (OSA)

  • Ensure product availability on home bays and secondary displays
  • Timely replenishment of products following First In, First Out (FIFO) principle
  • Constant checks on store's inventory level
  • Advising replenishment and additional orders and processing returns based on inventory levels
  • Ensure cleanliness of home bays and secondary displays
  • Drive additional presence and visibility through securing additional facings or display spaces in stores (Chiller top, sidestands, shelf strips etc.)
  • Sharing of OSA mystery shopper report performances with stores and identifying areas of improvement
  • Review and finalize monthly mystery shopper report OSA checks priorities with Merchandising Mgr
  • Analysis of OSA mystery shopper report and sharing key findings with the team before they can disseminate the info to stores


In-Stores (Planogram Compliance)

  • Ensure that products are displayed as per planogram
  • Ensure correct share-of-shelf and that OB's facings are secured and not replaced with other NBs for both home bays and secondary displays
  • Forwarding of products for brand labels to be shown clearly
  • Ensure that price cards/ESLs are correct and placed at the right location
  • Evaulating current planograms and identify potential improvement areas for adjustments
  • Taking lead in planogram compliance checks on selected categories across all stores
  • Taking lead in new planogram changeover and ensuring completion for planograms with improved OB facings
  • Constant follow up with BBD/Merchandising Mgr on commitment of rented spaces across all categories
  • Review and finalize monthly mystery report planogram compliance priorities with Merchandising Mgr
  • Plan and propose planograms in store during special events (e.G. new stores, events in stores etc.)
  • Identify potential lapses in assigned planograms, and works with BBD to discuss and initiate changes and improvements


Campaigns/Promotions

  • Setting up of campaign and promotional spaces - GE/Pallets/Standees/Home baysEnsure planogram compliance for campaign and promotional spaces according to assigned planograms
  • Ensure that all campaign and promotional POSMs are set up and displayed in stores
  • Reminding stores to POT orders for campagins and promotions
  • Engagement with BBD team to provide insights and points of improvement for future campaigns and promotions
  • Negotiation with stores for campaign space ask and support
  • Optimize promotional spaces via negotiation with stores for better promoter booths placing
  • Constant follow up with BBD/Merchandising Mgr on results of space asks, and committed campaign/promotion spaces
  • Summarizing and dissecting important key information on campaigns/promotions before relaying the information to all Area Leads
  • Gather inputs from the team and to resolve issues flagged out to ensure implementation effectiveness
  • Dissemination of required campaign/promotion POSM to all area leadsKeep informed of latest campaign/promotion updates and shares information with team members regularly


Engagement with Stores

  • Relaying of key information to stores (campagins/promotion mechanics, product briefings, pricing, new SKUs etc.)
  • Maitain good relations with staff in storesHave constant communication with stores and keep abreast of any updated situations on the ground
  • Obtaining feedback and comments from stores and to share them with the wider team
  • Providing timely information to stores on all queries related to OB
  • Liaising with BBD/CMs to obtain answers and key info for stores (stock availability, campaign details, e-forms etc.)
  • Managing conflicts in stores that may arise within the team
  • Identify and handle conflicts sensibly, fairly and efficiently Service recovery of problems and issues in stores with regards to the merchandising team
  • Actively gather inputs and feedback from stores on performance of area leads for improvementSharing of key information such as sales reports with stores and identify opportunities for OB growth in stores
  • Maitain good communication with store managers to facilitate ease of workflow


Training

  • Providing training for newly joined merchandisers - Perm, Contract, Part-Timers
  • Educate new hires on main responsibilities at the stores
  • Sharing about OB brands and products, recognizing space buys and secondary displays
  • Providing step-by-step guidance via on-the-job training with newcomers
  • Provide on-job coaching to team members on how to perform their daily work better, as a role-model
  • Collate and share best-in-class examples of daily BAU activities within the team to encourage team members to perform better
  • Learn and share experiences and mistakes openly with the team and seek for improvement
  • Review and update the merchandising training deck to keep it relevant for new hires


Monitoring Team Performance

  • Ensure execution excellence of the entire merchandising teamIdentify any lapses in current working process in the team and resolve them
  • Accountable for the work quality of all team members in the team
  • Lead and guide the team with constant communication and support
  • Evaluate performance of merchandisers in the team
  • Review merchandsing routes of each area lead to optimize travel time and coverage
  • Managing the hiring and allocation of contract staff/part-timers for the team
  • Deciding on the assigned stores for part-timers based on importance of stores
  • Preparation of monthly/quarterly incentivies payout report for approvalAssessment of work quality and tasks completion rate of area leads for ad hoc challenges (e.G. last mile challenge)
  • Identify potential for growth for each area lead - area of growth and development
  • Set clear goals of achievements and development for the team to set a clear direction for the team
  • Follow up on agreed developmental opportunities for self and team members
  • Keep team morale high by providing regular improvements feedback and positive achievements to encourage team members to perform better


Miscellaneous

  • Pricing and competitor activities update
  • Accomplishing monthly sales challenge priorities and meeting sales and merchandising targets set by the company
  • Handle customers enquries and complaints
  • Other duties as assignedHandling of special individual projects (event at store, planogram proposal etc.)
  • In charge and handle all logistical issues for the team
  • Ordering of stationery and supplies for the team (ART Kits, masks etc.)
  • Handle all documentation and admin requirements for the team (vouchers requests, collection of gift cards etc.)
