job description

MFG Mechanical Technician role requires experience in assembling wireline logging tools, with a strong background in mechanical assembly, testing, and quality control. Knowledge of mechatronics is essential for this role, as is the ability to work with high precision and performance, and maintain stringent quality standards.




Role and Responsibilities:




Mechanical Assembly:


  • Assemble mechanical components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks.
  • Ensure all assembled components meet the required quality standards and specifications.


Testing and Calibration:


  • Conduct functional testing and calibration of assembled tools and components to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and any corrective actions taken.


Quality Assurance:


  • Perform regular inspections of components and assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report any quality issues or defects.
  • Assist in the implementation of quality control procedures and processes.


Documentation and Reporting:


  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of assembly processes, test results, and quality inspections.
  • Prepare and submit reports on production and quality metrics as required.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements.


Maintenance and Repair:


  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assist in the repair of faulty or damaged tools and components.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.


Collaboration and Communication:


  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of assembly tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or improvements.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.


Skills and Experiences:


  • Strong mechanical assembly skills with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Experience with wireline logging tools or similar mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechatronics and the ability to work with mechanical and electronic components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for mechanical assembly and testing.
