Reporting to the Group Chief Information Officer, the incumbent will lead a team responsible for developing and maintaining corporate applications and related platforms. The role focuses on delivering reliable and efficient productivity and business support solutions aligned with the organization's needs and strategies. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders, developing a Management Information Systems (MIS) strategy and roadmap, overseeing existing MIS solutions, and planning and executing new MIS projects to support the organization's digitization strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership:
Manage and mentor a team of MIS IT professionals, including system and application administrators, data engineers, SAP IT professionals, and helpdesk support staff. Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide guidance and training as needed. Strategic Planning:
Oversee the development and implementation of an MIS IT strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to identify technology needs and opportunities for improvement. System and Data Management:
Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of the organization's MIS solutions and infrastructure, complying with operational, regulatory, industry, and internal policies and requirements. Develop and implement data management strategies, including data governance, data privacy, and data security, to comply with relevant regulations. System Development and Implementation:
Oversee and lead the development and implementation of new systems and applications, coordinating with various stakeholders to gather requirements, assess feasibility, and manage project timelines and resources. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Oversee the preparation and management of the MIS IT budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources, monitoring expenses, negotiating contracts, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Manage and oversee internal and external IT Audits alongside MIS executives. Other Duties:
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management Team. Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Management Information Systems (MIS). Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in a senior IT management role, managing similar information systems in a financial regulated entity. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems development life cycle, and IT security. Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices, such as MAS Technology Risk Management guidelines. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness and ability to provide on-site leadership for project teams, motivating team members to meet project goals and adhere to their responsibilities and project milestones. Ability to manage multiple projects across a full project lifecycle, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Previous experience managing a portfolio of complex initiatives spanning one or multiple lines of business is a plus. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Past experiences in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization are advantageous. Proven experience in budgeting and cost control. Relevant certifications (e.G., ITIL, PMP) are a plus.
