Patient Service Officer (Inpatient Suite)

Responsibilities:

• Generate next-day patient listings daily and collaborate with Nurse Manager/Clinician in assigning bed.
  
• Assist in bed booking in the Bed Management desktop for emergency cases.
  
• Assist to check on patient assigned bed according to the bed board.
  
• Activate porter to transport or transfer patient to other disciplines.
  
• Assist nurse to send patient prescription to the Pharmacy.
  
• Arrange for ambulance transport and liaise with Concierge for transportation services upon discharge.
  
• Assist nurses to barcode scan/manual entry charges based on charge forms.
  
• Inform SBO when patient is ready for discharge.
  
• Raise purchase requisition in Oracle/Meditech.
  
• Change location of patient in Meditech after transfer.
  
• Manage inter-departmental phone calls and general enquiries.
  
• Handle ad-hoc administrative duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  

Requirements:

• GCE 'O' / 'N' Level or Certificate in Office Skills/Business Studies (COS/CBS).
  
• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare / clinical settings.
  
• Experience in customer service preferred.
  
• Pleasant disposition with good communication skills.
  
• Fluency in a second language or dialect(s) will be an advantage to liaise with non-English speaking patients.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
