Job Responsibilities


  • Work together with ISD on setting up PMS and Dry-docking software in office and onboard ships.
  • Set up configuration data according to company work processes.
  • System testing and maintenance and periodic reviews
  • Develop and maintain PMS Handbook to govern organization and updating of PMS data.
  • Data creation and verification of PMS data in accordance with PMS Handbook.
  • Create and build databases for new vessels additions in accordance with PMS Handbook.
  • Work together with ISD to remove obsolete PMS data.
  • Work with ISD to maintain validity of PMS software licences.
  • Monitor PMS data replication daily and work with ISD to resolve data replication problems.
  • Modify (Add/Delete/Edit) PMS records and configuration according to changes in equipment and maintenance routines.
  • Define PMS user access rights, update PMS Handbook and work with ISD to align user access rights according to updated PMS Handbook.
  • Work together wqith ISD to update (Add/Delete/Edit) User records
  • Modify software configuration to accommodate changes in work processes.
  • Monitor performance of software jointly with ISD department to minimise downtime.
  • Provide feedback to PMS software maker and ISD on systems gaps and improvements
  • Set up PMS interfaces jointly with other departments as required.
  • Monitor interfaces activity log files daily to ensure smooth operation.
  • Work together with ISD to minimise downtime due to system upgrades and transaction errors.
  • Work together with Training Manager to:

  • Define PMS User tasks according to User Roles.
    Provide PMS User Guide for each User Role.
    Provide PMS software training for respective User Roles.
    Update User Guides and training according to PMS software upgrades.
    Perform training to sea-personnel on board vessels




Job Requirements


  • Diploma or COC in Marine Engineering / Nautical Studies or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent;

  • Sailing experience / relevant job experience are preferred but not a must
  • Experience in managing ship-management enterprise software comprising PMS, Crewing and Procurement.
  • Good understanding of ships machinery and maintenance
  • Advanced knowledge of various PMS systems
  • Flair in IT &
    proficient in MS Office&
    Access
