Production Manager (Medical Device/Packaging)

Our client, one of the largest healthcare manufacturers, is currently undergoing expansion and is seeking an ambitious Production Manager to oversee a team of highly skilled workers. This position will be based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:

Ensure Safe and Efficient Production Operations:

• Oversee production safety and environmental compliance by identifying risks, enforcing EHS standards, and taking action in case of violations.
  
• Plan and control production to meet delivery schedules while optimizing cost, capacity, quality, waste, engineering, maintenance, and service.
  
• Initiate actions to prevent product, process, and quality issues, ensuring continuous improvement through feedback and performance enhancement.
  
• Ensure production meets required quality standards and specifications to satisfy customer needs and expectations, delegating customer complaint handling to the process engineering team.
  
• Perform any other tasks as assigned.
  

Manage Resources and Organizational Structure:

• Develop and manage the production, headcount, and capex investment budgets, participating in the annual budgeting cycle.
  
• Recruit, train, and ensure discipline among employees while optimizing the production organization structure.
  
• Set and achieve operational goals derived from strategic plans, ensuring proper cascading and clear reporting of progress to stakeholders.
  
• Foster strong collaboration and communication with other departments such as supply chain, quality assurance, and R&
  D.
  
• Act asa liaison between senior management and production teams, ensuring alignment and understanding of company objectives and production goals.
  

Innovation and Technology Integration:

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
  
• Implement new technologies and innovative practices to improve production efficiency and effectiveness.
  

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

• Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international regulations and standards related to production and safety.
  
• Keep abreast of changes in regulations and adjust production practices accordingly.
  

Data-Driven Decision Making:

• Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
  
• Implement systems for tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production efficiency and effectiveness.
  

Sustainability Initiatives:

• Promote and implement sustainable production practices to minimize environmental impact.
