Production Support It Engineer

As a key member of the Production Support Team, you'll:

• Provide operational support for both the trading and tech teams
  
• Investigate infrastructure/application issues on a live production system
  
• Monitor applications and infrastructure alerts, reacting quickly
  
• Ability to troubleshoot and escalate application issues
  
• Build/deploy tools to improve our automation and monitor stack
  
• Take ownership and respond to open support tickets
  
• Prepare/update new or current technical documentation and troubleshooting guides
  
• Respond to queries and issues raised by users
  

We'd love for you to have:

• 1 to 3 years of strong experience with Linux (Bash)
  
• Python/Shell scripting
  
• Experience dealing with a global infrastructure setup with over 200 servers
  
• Experience developing automation scripts to improve procedures
  
• Self driven and motivated with a thirst for learning
  

It will be highly useful if you have prior experience in the following technologies:

• Knowledge of configuration management tools like Puppet/Ansible
  
• Familiar with monitoring tools like Nagios/Icinga
  
• Knowledge of database, influxDB, mysql
  
• Good knowledge of CentOS/RHEL/Fedora
  
• Good knowledge of Networking
  
• Good knowledge of CI tools like Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Terraform.
  
• Familiar with public cloud providers like Google cloud, AWS
  
• Familiar with confluence, JIRA
  
• Knowledge of exchange trading protocol ITCH/OUCH/FIX
  
• Good knowledge of exchange connectivity and onboarding process
  
• Hands-on experience on setting up workstation with multiple screens
  
• Active Directory knowledge would be a plus
