Project Engineer / Project Estimator

We are looking for a junior Project Engineer / Project Estimator, with 1 to 5 years of experience in the same industry, and with a high level of expertise in 2D AutoCAD and a 3D Modelling Software (preferably Autodesk Inventor). Reporting to the Technical Manager in Singapore, she/he will contribute to the design of new products and will produce the drawings to develop them. As an estimator, she/he will use the available estimating tools to prepare project offers.

Areas of responsibility/Role in Extruded Solutions

• Create accurate design drawings using 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor) and integrate them into the corporate data base (Vault) following the stablished corporate procedures.
  
• - Understand specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting design requirements.
  
• Liaise with the technical &
  project teams of our clients or project’s stakeholders.
  
• Liaise with the technical / R&
  D offices of TECHNAL in France, and in the Middle-East.
  
• Use 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor) to design new aluminium profiles and/or accessories taking into consideration their interaction with already existing profiles and accessories. Must be able to work with assemblies with many parts.
  
• Interact with suppliers to optimize the design of profiles and accessories.
  
• Update drawings or 3D models after revision with suppliers, integrating the new version in the corporate data base (Autodesk VAULT) following the established procedure.
  
• Prepare presentations (Power-Point) and/or assembly videos (Autodesk Inventor) to show or explain the designed items.
  
• Prepare technical documentation drawings including fabrication and assembly details.
  
• Achieving technical studies and budgeting on tendering projects using the proprietary estimating tools
  
• Propose Custom solution if needed to improve margin and competitivity
  
• Achieve calculations:
  works sizing, strength/resistance of materials, thermal calculations
  
• Keep up to date with technology updates and regulations
  
• Provide technical support on the field (client’s training)
  
• Support to sales team during seminars, presentations to technical team (clients, consultants, contractors)
  
• Willing to travel overseas, in the APAC region.
