The Project Manager will be accountable for completing assigned projects in parallel (both greenfield and fit out), within budget and schedule across the Asia Pacific region. Partner with suppliers and general contractors to drive improvement initiatives in safety, efficiency and sustainability.




Duties and Responsibilities




· Be fully accountable for the project assigned.


· Represent the company on regular client fronting. Attending client meeting and following up on action item.


· Build a framework to lead / monitor the project and develop initiatives for tracking.


· Establish project controls to ensure strong governance across the project portfolio.


· Maintain strict monitoring of the construction schedule by attending Daily Activity Briefing to understand the work activities and identify gaps and develop resolution.


· Carry out site inspection to ensure works are completed as designed, schedule and that workmanship is up to market standard, identify site constraint / risk and develop resolution.


· Collaborate with the GCs/LLEs to report the overall progress, health of projects and initiatives to the management on a weekly basis.


· Ensure on-time completion of projects by working closely with the procurement team in selecting the right vendors, monitoring work progress, resolving constraints and problems, and coordinating with various internal and external parties, in local language if required.


· Verify and record all project documentation, not limited to contractual matters, schedule delay and payment certification. Build strong control processes to assure good governance.


· Monitor and control budgets by carrying out cost control exercise from the beginning of projects and ensuring projects are delivered to the agreed scope and on-time.


· Escalate major project risks to management and monitor the progress on the militating actions.




Job Requirements


  • Degree in Project Management, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the Project Management of mission critical facilities
  • Experience in managing Data Centre Greenfield Construction is ideal but experience in the construction of pharma/ microelectronics projects also highly desirable
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project)
  • Be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • Able to work well with others and have good customer service skills
  • Strong time management &
    work well under pressure
  • Candidate is required to be outstation 90% of the time at assigned project site.
