Project Officer (Additive Manufacturing)

The School of Mechanical &
Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Project Officer.
Our research group is seeking to hire a project officer with backgrounds in additive manufacturing, to support our development of 4D printing for a wide range of biomedical applications.
Key Responsibilities:

• Formulating 4D printable shape memory polymers for vat photopolymerization
• CAD modeling for characterizations and prototyping
• Modeling of dynamic responses via finite element method simulations
• Optimizing and printing using vat photopolymerization
• Characterizing of thermomechanical properties of printed parts

Job Requirements:

• Minimum degree in related subjects with relevant experience in Additive Manufacturing with Vat Photopolymerization (preference will be given to those with relevant experience in Institutes of Higher Learning / Additive Manufacturing environment)
• 3+ years experience on 4D printing and shape memory polymers
• Profficiency in formulation of 4D printable resins, CAD modelling, FEM simulations and thermomechanical experiments
• Excellent command in English (written and spoken)
• A hands-on person and enjoys working in an academic/research environment
• Able to work independently, as well as, in a team
