About the Role




This role is multifaceted and critical to the efficient functioning of a company's supply chain within a specific geographical region. This position involves strategic planning, operational management, and leadership responsibilities to ensure that the supply chain processes align with the company’s overall objectives and meet the region’s specific needs.




Key Responsibilities:




Strategic Planning and Execution


  • Develop and implement regional supply chain strategies that align with global objectives and regional market demands.
  • Analyze market trends, demand forecasts, and supply chain performance to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Set and achieve regional performance goals related to cost reduction, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.


Operational Management


  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, production, warehousing, transportation, and distribution.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand without overstocking or stockouts.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely and quality delivery of raw materials and products.


Team Leadership and Development


  • Lead and manage regional supply chain teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment, encouraging cross-functional teamwork and communication.


Performance Monitoring and Improvement


  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates, lead times, and transportation costs.
  • Identify and address operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies through continuous improvement initiatives and lean management practices.
  • Implement and oversee quality control measures to maintain product standards and reduce defects or returns.


Risk Management and Compliance


  • Assess and mitigate supply chain risks related to supplier reliability, geopolitical factors, and market volatility.
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulations and company policies regarding safety, environmental impact, and ethical sourcing.


Technology and Innovation


  • Adopt and integrate advanced supply chain technologies such as ERP systems, AI, and IoT to enhance visibility, automation, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within the regional supply chain to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
