Who we are looking for


The Trade Finance Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and expanding Validus’ trade finance portfolio. The role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their trade finance needs, and providing tailored solutions. The incumbent will ensure the delivery of high-quality service, compliance with regulatory requirements, and achievement of business target.


Key Responsibilities:


- Client Relationship Management:


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential trade finance clients.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to understandtheir business needs and offer appropriate trade finance solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.


- Business Development:


  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in trade finance.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase the market share
  • Collaborate with internal to promote trade finance services.


- Product, Risk &
Compliance:


  • Structure and tailor trade finance solutions to meet clients' specific needs.
  • Develop product program along with structured processes for managing credit and operational risk
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade finance transactions.


- Market and Industry Knowledge:


  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes in trade finance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve the trade finance offerings.


- Team Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other departments, including credit, operations, and legal, to deliver seamless trade finance services.


The ideal candidate should possess:


- 10+ years of relevant experience in trade finance (preferably from the financial sector) across Working Capital financing, and Trade Financing


- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with strong data analysis


- Good customer service, client relationship management, communication, negotiation, problem solving and interpersonal skills.


- Credit evaluation and analysis skills with extensive business insights in commercial loans
