Research Associate (Air Traffic)

ATMRI is seeking to hire a Research Associate to conduct innovative to develop artificial intelligence methods and machine learned models to improve the performance, reliability and safety of air traffic system's operations in the face of increasing demand for air travel and inherent uncertainties (for e.G. weather and delays) in the air traffic management (ATM) system. The candidate should be able to do independent research, assist the PI/Team Lead with project management activities and preparation of progress reports, mentor undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support research and development related to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applied to Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Management.
• Develop algorithms and models (Deep Learning/Deep Reinforcement Learning), perform data mining, data analytics for advanced Air Traffic Management concepts.
• Support Principal Investigator/Team Lead with project management activities and preparation of progress reports.
• Develop simulation environment, prototypes and intelligent tools for Air traffic management.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with industrial and academic partners

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science/Aerospace Engineering/Operation Research or equivalent
• Experience in programming:
  excellent knowledge of Python Programming Languages
• Demonstrated project experience related to applied Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning in Air Traffic Control / Air Traffic Management.
• Track record in publication in Air Traffic Control, Air Traffic Management, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
• Good English writing and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and be a team player.
