The Innovation &
Enterprise Fellowship Programme (IFP) seeks to grow the pool of deep-tech talent in Singapore with the capabilities to support the commercialisation of deep-tech research and bring nascent technologies to market. Targeting researchers, scientists, and engineers (RSEs), the programme aims to develop industry relevant innovation and entrepreneurial skills through both formal and on-the-job training.
At EDDC, our goal is to discover and develop novel therapeutics by working collaboratively with public sector and industry partners. EDDC now has an opening and is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and skilled IFP Fellow in our Antibody Design group at EDDC. This is an eighteen-month on-the-job training programme that involves participation in and supporting inter-disciplinary and collaborative drug discovery projects.
We are actively seeking a dynamic and motivated Research Scientist to lead our efforts in developing cutting-edge antibody technologies. In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role at the intersection of technology and biology, employing a diverse range of methodologies from in silico techniques to hands-on experimentation. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research and engineer novel antibodies that address unmet medical needs.
Key responsibilities:

  • Employ cutting-edge technologies in antibody discovery and engineering workflows.
  • Design and execute hands-on research projects related to antibody and protein engineering.
  • Lead scientific project development and ensure timely delivery and achievement of milestones.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis and interpretation to extract meaningful insights for guiding project decisions and refine research strategies.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including biologists, bioinformaticians, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicate research findings through presentations and reports and ensure effective dissemination of results to internal teams and stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or a related field, with strong interest in immunology and inflammation diseases. A minimum of 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and antibody technologies. Relevant industry or start up experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience in antibody discovery, protein engineering, functional immunoassays and relevant technologies.
  • Proficiency in in silico methodologies and computational tools is a plus.
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation capabilities.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across diverse functional teams.

  • Good communication skills (both oral and written), and meticulous record-keeping capability.
